Our Services

At GMA, we offer a variety of dispute resolution services and are dedicated to achieving an outcome that is acceptable to all parties involved.

Mediation

Mediation

Mediation is a process in which an impartial third party assists in resolving a conflict or dispute between two or more parties. All participants in mediation are encouraged to actively participate in the structured and interactive process. The process is private, confidential, and possibly enforceable by law if the parties come to an agreement or settlement. Participation is normally voluntary and approximately 70% of all cases settle in mediation.

Arbitration

Arbitration

Like mediation, arbitration is a way to resolve disputes outside the courts. The dispute will be decided by a panel of one or three arbitrators and the decision is legally binding and enforceable by law. The proceeding is either voluntary or mandatory and are usually non-public and confidential. Arbitration reduces the time and expense to litigate a case in court and in most legal systems, there are limited avenues for appeal of an arbitration award.

Med-Arb

Med-Arb

Med-Arb has features of both mediation and arbitration. The parties first try to resolve their disputes through mediation. If that does not resolve it, then the process switches to a binding arbitration. Med-Arb should be agreed upon by both parties as a possible form of dissolving their conflict.
